Description

Pokemon Elite Redux is a game that offers challenging gameplay and various team-building choices. Every Pokemon and trainer in the game has been carefully balanced to provide the best possible gameplay experience. Players can use up to four abilities at once, making the game more interesting.

The game was inspired by well-known hacks like Inclement Emerald and Radical Red and offers a unique adventure. The game also eliminates the need for tedious grinding and has other quality-of-life improvements. In summary, Pokemon Elite Redux is a fresh take on the classic Pokemon gameplay.

Features

Up to four skills At the same time

Each Pokémon can have up to three abilities that can be switched between and up to three that can’t be changed. This makes for fun new techniques and a lot of replay value since you can play each Pokémon differently. Think of Gyarados with Moxie and either Aerilate or Intimidate simultaneously!

Each trainer has their own set of moves.

Every Trainer party has been redone by hand, considering all the new and changed moves and skills. Most trainers have their competitive moves and various things they can hold. For variety, each repeat has been made from scratch. You won’t always run into the same foolish Poochyena with Tackle 😉

It’s not too hard or too easy.

We don’t like making things hard by giving the Player fewer or worse tools than the AI. You can use most of the same tactics that AI does. Make something! “Set” is always the battle style. If you choose the Elite Difficulty and aren’t ready, the first Trainer will likely hit you. Also, AI doesn’t have many unfair advantages, such as abilities that can’t be taken, effects that last forever in the fight, etc.

110 or more new custom abilities

With more than 370 abilities, including about 50 changed or extended abilities, you will have a lot of ways to beat the tasks waiting for you. Also, all of the descriptions of abilities have been changed to be more accurate!

Better and reworked AI.

We redesigned the AI to include all new and changed moves and powers. Also, all Trainers now have the best AI.

No Grinding!

• This screen makes it easy and quick to set EVs.
• The Summary Screen also lets you change nature and skills.
• You’ll get a new Candy Box with an unlimited supply of rare candies. This will let you switch teams more often to try out new tactics. Rare Candies work with Gen 8, which means you can grow when you reach Level 80. You can level up by up to 4 levels at once, or you can head straight to the Level Cap to save time.
• Each Pokémon starts with 31 IVs. With the Type Gems, changing the type of your Hidden Power is easy.
• With the new Iron Pill item, you can set your Speed IVs to 0 (for Trick Room teams) or back to 31.
• You can always catch a Poké Ball. Any ball will do. Also, each ball can be used over and over again.
• You don’t have to re-equip your Pokémon with Berries and Focus Sashes after battle because everything they held stays on them.
• Auto-Heal before every fight, so you don’t need any more medicines or other items that heal.

Changes to Pokémon, their skills, moves, and items

Each and every Pokémon has been given its love. For example, Gyarados is now a Water/Dragon with Levitate, and Gengar can be used normally or specially. We changed a lot of moves to make them easier to use or more fun. For example, Aurora Beam takes one step off an enemy’s Attack. No one has changed the type chart. Some things have been made better, like Big Root and Shell Bell.

Teach Moves straight from the party menu.

This makes teaching all Level-Up, Egg, TMs/HMs, and Tutor moves easy.

Portable Computer

You don’t have to return to the Pokémon Center to change your party, just like in later Pokémon games. You can now also change all of your Pokémon right on your PC!

Better Battle Engine and Battle UI

• With the RH-Hideouts Battle Engine, you can catch all Pokémon from Gen 1 to 7 (1,200+ Species) and many Gen 8 Pokémon and most moves, abilities, and things from Gen 8. Mega Evolution is one of them, but Z-Moves is not. There are Mega Evolutions that let you pick between 3 different skills!
• There is a much better battle UI that shows type effectiveness and STAB to help with some new typings. It even takes skills like Levitate into account. Also, when you choose a move, press L to see its Power, Accuracy, and whether it makes contact, just like in CFRU tricks!
• Frostbite has replaced freeze: No more bugling freezes! The flare of Frost causes 1/16 HP of damage every turn. The Pokémon that is hurt has half as much Special Attack. They are three times as likely to get frostbite in hail.

Different Postgame

• After you beat the E4, there are a lot of really tough trainers waiting for you, such as Gym Leaders and E4. Each teacher can set up up to 4 carefully planned rematches. Also, you don’t have to wait a day to fight Gym Leaders again; you can do it whenever you want!
• Choose between Singles and Doubles; you can choose to have Legends with you for important Rematches. After beating the Champ, you can catch all the Legendaries (Gens 1–7 plus two special Gen 8), but only if you beat all the masters on certain routes first.

Simple to Catch / Improved DexNav

It features Ghoulslash’s improved DexNav, which we changed even more to make catching easier. From the start, you can search immediately for the Pokémon you want. Also, they no longer run away. Remember I said you could have as many Pokéballs as you want and they would all get caught?

From the start, you can get many battle and evolution items.

In no way are you limited. You can send your 252/252 Atk/Speed Pokémon with Choice Band and Adamant nature to fight the first handler. Also, you’ll have all of the Mega Stones before you fight Norman (5th Gym).

Everybody Can Get To

There are three difficulty modes and three-level caps to choose from. It was first meant to be a difficulty hack on how you want to play. EVs can also be turned off fully at any time and in any mode.

• Easy Mode: Trainers don’t have EVs, but you can get them. Even though that’s a big plus, the teams will still be tough! You can’t use bags in battle. The Set fight style is always used.
• Ace Mode: The teams and rules are identical to Easy Mode, but each trainer has EVs. A sleep rule also stops you from putting more than one Pokémon to sleep.
• Elite Mode: The rules are the same as in Ace Mode, but the teams you fight in important events, like Gym Leaders and the Pokémon League, are much tougher. You must also beat the first two Gyms to access more innates.

Lots of changes to the quality of life

• Rewrote move descriptions to make them clearer or to add new effects. It’s now much easier to see which moves affect Iron Fist, Mega Launcher, and other effects, and what moves can cause extra effects like flinching.
• This screen shows more information about moves, such as their Critical Hit Rate, Chance of Secondary Effects, etc.
• Turn on or off forever repel from the Options menu Menu
• System for Level Caps: When a Pokémon hits the limit, it will only get one EXP point for every kill. The level cap is also shown in the Start Menu.
• This feature lets you play with wild Pokémon and trainers at the same level as you. It even works with the DexNav.
• Changed the Summary Screen so that it shows Base Stats at a glance as well.
• Add things to a list menu (press L to get to the list)More pockets and more space in the bag.
• Free TM use and a new TM case from Fire Red
• You don’t have to teach HMs, and all of your Pokémon can fly to places you’ve already been.
• You can now get both the Mach and the Acro bike at the same time.
• Berries grow right away and give you 100 of them.
• Wild Meets on Berry Trees
• Trainers’ random calls have been turned off.
• The NPC in the game’s tutorial talks about the most important changes.
• Something new: The iron pill: You can use it on any Pokémon to make their Speed IVs equal to 0. To go back to 31, use it again.
• Less difficult evolution (Night, Day, Friendship, and Trade Evos taken away)
• Switch between day and night for wild Pokémon (old man in every Pokémon Center)
• Nurse Joy: Instant-heal without talking (but this isn’t really needed anymore since you can heal yourself before fights).
• It is possible to go back and forth between evolutions >> There is an NPC in the Rustboro Pokémon Center that lets you give Flareon moves like Leaf Blade from Leafeon.
• There are 4 rounds, and all the eggs hatch in that time.
• Removed the daily cap on daycare eggs
• Eviolite doesn’t stop evolutions so that teams can be built faster, but it does give 50% more defense.
• Auto Run: It works inside too. When it’s off, you can hold down B to run and walk when it’s on. You can even hold down B to go faster!
• Every Pokémon Center has the name rater. You can even change the names of other users’ Pokémon!
• No more capslock for decapitalization
• Finally, there is no more low HP beep.
