"Yamada-kun and the seven witches" was one of the first mangas I ever read back in the day, and because of it, I was mostly up to date and waiting for chapters weekly just became a chore along the way. Three to four years have passed since then and I recently found out that it was finished. Out of a recommendation from a friend I decided to pick it up again from the start and finish it until the end.

All I can say about this manga is that it really understands how high school stories should be done. When I was first reading it, ...

This is my first review, so don't expect too much of it.

I wrote this review seeing there are no other reviews for this manga though it deserves one.

Yamada and the Seven Witches. Sounds like something from a fairy tale huh? Well, not really...

--The review contains spoilers--

Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches are one of a kind story alright, the very VERY good kind.

Story : (9/10)

You have Yamada, a delinquent without a single friend because that's how almost how every protaganist have to be okay, who had an accident kiss with Shiraishi, one of the smartest and beautiful girl in school.

Both woke up with each other bodies and hilarity ensued and in the end their relationship also blossomed, allowing them to grow as a person and experience things they never knew, since both are friendless and loners.

Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo is one of those mangas you pick up and can't put back down. At first I was not expecting a lot from it; the storyline seemed overplayed and the overall feeling was that I would be reading something cute and nice enough to keep me entertained for a while.

But Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo is a lot more than that. Sure, the story is not extremely original, but if there's something that I've learned from life is that it doesn't matter if you're the first to come up with an idea - what matters is if you're the best at ...

Yamada - kun to 7 nin no majo is a story about a delinquent named Ryuu Yamada and how his life changes when he meets this 7 witches.

Story: 10

I gave the story a perfect rating because of its unique plot, even though some may say that its the same with other romance mangas but the idea of adding fantasy to the story is making it more interesting. Imagine a life where you meet 7 witches , it makes your life more interesting right?

Art: 9

I love the art but there are some parts that i dont like. (based on my own observation)

I'm not overly fond of shonen harem series, but they can be tolerable, and shonen stuff is typically better when helmed by a female author. "Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo" is a fairly enjoyable shonen series, although it's by no means perfect. There are a few big plot holes that get waved over in the final rush to clear up all the mysteries, and the series loses focus past the first arc(s) by creating unnecessarily convoluted melodrama while retaining predictable outcomes.

That said, I did enjoy the series. The art was reasonably well done, and the characters were lots of fun (particularly Urara and Miyamura), although ...

I finished Yamada Kun, a manga that from the beginning surprised me with an interesting story that worked by means of a kiss, At the end of the 90 chapters that took in the anime I see that stories of some characters were not counted with depth, After continuing what I no longer saw in the anime, it seems great but in my opinion it turned sometimes a bit repetitive, but the funny moments, was what I really loved about this. Of course, to the deepest part of the story that happens after Yamada's ceremony, which made me excited to know why the witches existed ...

After reading 80 chapters in under 24 hours, I feel that I should write a review on this great manga.

Story: Yamada and the Seven Witches.... The story plot is really sticking to the manga title well. It almost feels like a spoiler actually.

The story and plot is good with nice suspense and twists but occasionally is too straightforward.

Oh there's one more thing you should be mentally prepared before you read this manga. Do NOT be too shocked at a few same-sex kisses. Cos those kinda put me off a bit==.

Art: The art and design is quite good. Quite detailed actually, maybe except where it is ...

This manga is very special to me, it was so much fun and the story changed quickly in unexpected ways that always kept me engaged. However, after 238 chapters, over 100 of them being the same story copied in a slightly different way, I feel that the creatures have lost what made this manga good in the first place.

At 237 chapters I am dropping what was one of my favorite manga of all time. I really wish they would try something new or just stop making more chapters. They are in serious danger of repeating what happened to Bleach in my opinion.

Wow.. ever since the anime ended I didn't touch the manga until now, and OH BOY I'm glad I read through the end. We got a beautiful and happy way to end this amazing series.

Back then I was young and naive when I first encountered the anime and now I'm about to enter a University just like the crew. I was worried for a second cuz I read manga to escape from reality, but got pulled up back to reality when they started the University "Arc". Nevertheless, from an anime that I wanted to watch because of how obsessed I was on the romance genre ...

Intriguing. Exciting. Funny. Unexplained. The manga focuses on a high school delinquent. Fascinating right?... He accidentally kisses a girl when falling down the stairs. Cliché right?
Now before you turn away and go this is probably another stupid manga I want you to read it... Impressed? (Well I suppose you haven't read it yet because it'll defeat the purpose of this review) anyways

It may sound silly, but this tale has more to it than the normal average manga. Now the story I stated "the manga focuses on a high school delinquent" right? Yeh... but it also focuses on other characters. Well... There is a reason and ...

RAW thoughts:

I don't usually write reviews, but I had to get my thoughts out after getting up to around 200 chapters into this series. I know that this series is labeled as a harem manga, but I could not stand how drawn out the story became after 200 chapters with the MC and the MG (main girl). It was as if the author was actively trying to keep them apart for as long as possible so that the series couldn't end.

My main problem was that once I got to around 200 chapters, I think I knew more about the side characters and MC than ...

This is my first review.
FYI SPOILERS.
Well i really liked the beginning of this manga, he gets the girl he wanted and all that and everyone is happy(kinda) and I thought it could've ended there with maybe a couple extra chapters as a slight after story. Instead the author decided to redo essentially the same story but with more people.
Seeing this happen made me want to drop it which I did after seeing it was repetitive.
However, even though I dropped it i'm not saying it's a bad manga. As a matter of fact it was great. It had a compelling storyline that hooked me ...

Other than the art style being iffy at best and quite off-putting often (don't look at their eyes when their head's are tilted), the first large arc of 65ish chapters is okay.
However, after that, where it absolutely should've ended, it continues for another 180 chapters, with 20-30 added characters, and 10-30 added plot lines that NEVER get resolved or touched upon. So many characters just evaporate when they're very important, only to be brought up 30 chapters later to say hi and do nothing. So many relationships are shredded and the characters involved just move on ...

I really love the original concept about this manga and up to the end of first arc, I thought it was perfect. The characters are interesting and full of life, and their relationships give colours to the story. The plot is full of twists and turns and kept me hooked.

However, I guess it was just so good that the manga became too popular. Because of that, it had to continue, with new sets of witches and plot twists. More characters are introduced, and because there are too many of them, sometimes the original characters get suppressed and do not appear for months. And because of ...

tl;dr: A manga with a great first third with a pretty solid plot and good character/relationship development, but that then slowly becomes much worse written and just in general less fun to read.

This manga is about a delinquent type student named Yamada getting involved with the seven witches of his high school. These witches have supernatural powers that are activated upon kissing. For example, the main heroine Shiraishi has the power to switch bodies. The first third of the manga involves Yamada, Shiraishi, and the rest of the members of the supernatural studies club that they’ve created, going around and investigating the other witches, trying ...

Wow, I didn't expect to walk away loving this manga as much as I do. If you're here reading this review after watching the anime, wondering if the manga is worth it, let me tell you that it is. The anime paced itself far too quickly--though it was still entertaining--but the manga lets that arc and the following arcs (for the most part, but I'll discuss that in a moment) breath so you have plenty of time with these awesome characters. If you want to know if you should check out the manga, I'll tell you that, if you liked the anime, you'll adore this.

This is an awesome manga, its being a while seen i read something so good and funny at the same time. This manga caught me by surprise i never expected to be this good, at first i thought that this was a generic comedy based romance with a lot of cliches that gets old really fast, but this story its a little different it has really good pace with the story and the jokes. Its really cool how the author makes the characters to act like "normal" high school students in were the do and talk crazy stuff, they never act boring students like some ...

The power of a kiss can do many wonders.

For Sleeping beauty, it can revive her from an enternal sleep.
For a child, it can heal wounds
For Yamada however, he can copy the power of the witches from his school.

It all started when Yamada, a bored delinquent, accidentally kiss the smartest girl in school and switched each other's bodies. As a guy, a "certain" reaction is to be expected. After some exploring in other's bodies and learning of different perspectives, they made a pact to explore more into it.

Join him as he discover about the witches, gathering allies and learning about the power's uses and side ...

If you want a solid 9/10 reading experience, you're best off quitting the story after the first arc, somewhere in the chapter 80s area. More fun moments, exciting kisses, heartfelt moments, and a genuine feel of mystery and conflict happen in these chapter than the remaining 180 chapters , which is truly a shame.

Any complaints I have are found really exclusively in these later chapters, and my complaints have really solely to do with the story. There's many good characters that make you care for their lives, the art is rather pretty and never a negative distraction like some manga can be, but neither ...
